Donation Process for Kings Community Care Op Shop

We welcome your donations and appreciate your support! Here’s how you can donate items to our Op Shop:

Drop-Off Locations:

You can drop off donations at our blue donation bins located on the pathway to the front of the Op Shop. Alternatively, feel free to ask in-store if you have donations to bring.

Donation Hours:

Donations can be dropped off during our open donation days:

Monday to Friday: 9AM to 2 PM Saturday: 9 AM to 1 PM

Important Note:

Please check with our volunteers before driving to the back of the premises for furniture or any other donations.

Occasionally, we may need to close donations if we run out of storage space. Please keep an eye out for our A-frame signs indicating if we’re unable to accept donations at that time.

Impact of Donations

Community Support:

Over the past year, the Op Shop has aided hundreds of families in need within the community through affordable clothing and essential items.

Environmental Benefits:

Each year, we help divert approximately 100 tons of waste from landfills by recycling and reselling donated items, promoting sustainability and eco-friendliness.

Funding for Local Programs:

Donations have funded a variety of community programs, including fresh food boxes and meals at the Kings Community Care Food Crisis Centre, as well as providing support for local charities, significantly impacting people’s lives.
